London outfit damsen's so-far sparse offerings epitomise quality over quantity. Sparkling with the same pristine production style as their debut outing 'This Isn't Love' last year, their sophomore single 'Something Good' is an expansive pop tune with nuances of atmospheric Americana. Echoing the sumptuous vocal melodies of Fleetwood Mac in their prime, vocalist Olivia's goosebump-inducing performance feels intimate and powerful as it's delivered with a quiet confidence. Waning guitars add a contrasting sense of melancholy to the optimistic lyrics, which glide above an unobstrutive marching beat. Providing a much-needed sense of escape in these somewhat claustrophobic times, 'Something Good' easily lives up to its positive namesake. -Holly Mullineaux
